In essential beliefs – we have unity.
“There is one Body and one Spirit…there is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one God and Father of us all…” Ephesians 4:4-6 (NIV)
In nonessential beliefs – we have liberty.
“Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgement on disputable matters…Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls…So then each of us will give an account of himself to God…So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God.” Romans 14:1,4,12,22 (NIV)
In all our beliefs – we show charity.
“…If I hold in my mind not only all human knowledge but also the very secrets of God, and if I have the faith that can move mountains – but have no love, I am nothing at all.” 1 Corinthians 13:2 (Ph)
The Essentials We Believe
The Holy Bible is God’s authoritative Word to us. It was written by men, divinely inspired by the Holy Spirit, and is the record of God’s revelation of Himself to man.
Jesus is the hope for all in this world. He honored the divine law by His personal obedience to the Father, and in His death on the cross He provided redemption for the sin of mankind. He was raised from the dead by the power of God, defeating sin and death so that all who believe in Him may inherit everlasting life.
The local church is God’s agent for redemptive change.
Every Christian is called and gifted by God to love and serve the Church, their community and the world.
The Church is called to whole earth evangelism through demonstrating and proclaiming love to all.
