Science Camp

Scientists ages 6-12. Depending on skill level some assistance may be needed. Zoom assistance will be avaliable too!

Fun interactive science experiments and activities, to learn about ways the world around us works!

Monday July 13th – Friday, July 17th from 9am – 1:30pm

On Zoom and Google Classroom

Daily Breakdown

Each day set-up your scientist to Zoom into the morning call! We will start off with some stretches, safety secrets and socializing, before moving into the science lesson! Your scientist will review the daily experiment with us before logging off and heading to their at home laboratory!

Once in the Lab, your scientist will follow the lab sheet directions and conduct their experiments and fill out their lab report. We would love to see their success and laboratory experiences; upload a video or photo to share with their fellow science colleagues. If your scientist needs some help they can also Zoom in or post questions on our Google classroom.

After lunch, we will jump back on Zoom to debrief the day! We will recap our experiments and share in our success! We will have a short story and then finish with your video recap of the day! We hope to see your scientist there!

Once you Register watch your email for printable Daily Lab Result Sheets and a list of materials your scientist will need for the week!

Mega Mechanics Monday

On Monday, scientists will learn about potential, kinetic, and mechanical energy and conduct an experiment with Pompom Slingshots!

Tectonic Tuesday

On Tuesday, scientists will explore the different layers that make up Earth. They will learn about volcanos and earthquakes, and conduct 2 lava like experiments!

Whacky States Wednesday

On Wednesday, the different states of matter; solid, liquid, and gas! They will also conduct 2 magic tricks which actually can be explained by science!

Tasty Treats Thursday

On Thursday, scientists will learn about taste and how the tongue works beofre using scince to create a tasty treat!

Space Force friday

On Friday, scientists will learn about the Milky Way Galaxy and how to build a Rocket! We may need some parent assistance in the launch but will sure be a blast!

PointKids Camp Philosophy

Your scientist will learn right from wrong in order to make wise decisions both in and outside of the lab. It’s also here where discovering the rules and objectives of the experiments fosters a love for science.

The teachings of science compliment children’s natural curiosity and help them to develop important life skills. The science experiments and activities improves critical thinking, focus, curiosity, and teamwork.

Scientists learn that their self-worth and identity are not defined by failed or perfected experiments or even great inventions. Through intentional, biblical character lessons, your scientist will learn about life, values, and how God sees them.

On our PointKids Calls, your scientist has the opportunity to foster healthy relationships with his or her research-mates through symbiosis and knowledge sharing, while learning the importance of putting others’ needs above his or her own.
