Make a Box this Christmas

Its that time of year again and we are asking you to help make a difference in someones life in the greater Metro Vancouver area. All you have to do is fill a box with items for a child and return it to The Point by the beginning of December. We have Partnered with Mosaic BC and all of you to make this project possible! 

Tips for Packing Your Box

Pack a box “shoebox-size” or even better a plastic tupperware-like box full of goodies. Plastic is nice as it can serve another purpose later. 

We are looking to pack our boxes to be helpful gift to refugee families in our own city. Here are some suggestions from MOSAIC and other things we have used:

• toys**
• hygiene products  (toothbrush, toothpaste, soap etc.),
• socks
• winter wear 
• non perishable food items (rice, beans)
• hair accessories
• School supplies (notebooks, crayons, pencils)
• Personal Note

**Please avoid toys associated with violence.**
Other things to avoid are candy, damaged  items, medications.
