Ride for Refuge

October 8, 2011

Register to Ride or Give today! Raising Funds to Fight for Justice…

For the second time, The Point is getting involved in riding in the Ride for Refuge! This bike-a-thon happens annually in cities across Canada and the United States to raise money for organizations that aid refugees, the vulnerable/marginalized or those who have been sexually exploited. This year, our collective goal is to raise $1,300,000!! Our team will be riding 25 kilometres on Saturday, October 15, rain or shine (and in Vancouver, it could very well be rain).

Our Point team this year is riding for REED, an organization in Vancouver that provides help and support to women who have been prostituted, as well as doing advocacy and education around this issue. If you want more info, you can check out their website here.
