Praise God! We had around 18 volunteers to distribute the socks to the homeless people at Main & Hastings on Vancouver’s DTES on February 10th! We encountered people from any different walks of life. As we handed out socks, a man came up to us and asked if he could donate money to The Point. What was amazing was that he was a self-professed atheist, but wanted to support the “good work” that he was witnessing. We prayed that God will continue to change transform his heart. We also encountered a young woman who had lost her daughter two years ago, and was still grieving the loss. We asked if we could pray for her, and she was overwhelmed by the warmth she felt form strangers. Please continue to pray for these two people!
Overall, our team had prayed and had good conversation with different people who opened up to us. And later we had a great fellowship over food at Noodlebox. Join us next time to reach out to people in need both physically and spiritually. Its great to share about Jesus! TThank you all for coming to share the love of Christ with people in need!
