This past weekend, the Justice Team hosted a screening of the documentary, DEMAND, which addresses the demand for paid sex and the impact of the sex industry. We also led a discussion about some of the Canadian law surrounding this industry and ways we believe the church should be involved.
If you missed the screening, you can find the documentary online here: http://www.sharedhope.org/Resources/DEMAND.aspx
Also, see this blog post by Laura for more information: http://pointchurch.ca/canada-can-do-better/
If you didn’t get a chance to fill out a postcard last week, we will have more available this week, as well as some “Canada Can Do Better for Prostituted Women” buttons. Please take one and an extra postcard to give to someone you know. Help us spread the word and lessen the demand for paid sex in BC!
